Ever since ‘Wrestling With Shadows’ broke kayfabe and allowed viewers behind the scenes of professional wrestling, subsequent films have opened up the secret world even more. These documentaries feature athletes pushing their bodies to the limit and beyond. There's blood, sweat, tears and lots of eyeliner. There are heroes and villains or more accurately ‘faces’ and ‘heels’. There are falls from grace and inspiring comebacks but most tragically there are aging showmen who don't know when to quit.
