Incarcerated

Two million people are locked up in the United States, more than anywhere else on earth, and most of the films here are trying to work out how that happened and who it is for. A jail where the guards leave a floor to run itself, a prison system that killed men and then lied about it, an uprising in 1971 that was put down by the state with more gunfire than anything since the Civil War, and a hospital in California holding men who finished their sentences years ago and are not going anywhere. The House I Live In argues that none of it is an accident.
